An experiment in creating a woven textile imprinted with a warp and weft Ikat.
An Ikat is a complex and labor intensive resist-printing technique, in which
the yarn is partially tied prior to it's being mounted on a loom and woven.
In my experiment, I chose to to tie and dye the weft as well.
The tradition of the technique was maintained as much as possible,
while some first-timer improvisation was necessary.

On this page, a selection of illustrated instructions from a booklet
about making a double Ikat.
